Zelda is officially half a year old. I can't believe it. It seems like time has flown by so much faster with her than with Ellie.
I wanted to give you an update on how Zelda is doing at six months old. She had her sixth month doctor's appointment last week; in addition to getting her shots, we found out her stats: she's 13 pounds 13 ounces, 25 1/2 inches long, and has a head circumference of 44 cm. Those are the 10th, 40th, and 90th percentiles, respectively.
Her new favorite toy is the doorstop on the back of our hallway door. It's springy, and she'll crawl into our tiny little hallway/connecting room, sit there by the door, and pluck it so it goes "twaaang! twaaang!" over and over.
She's been doing this funny wave-her-arm up-and-down-really-fast thing all week; in the air and to pound whatever's in front of her. No teeth yet (we don't expect to see them for a while), but some days she drools like a St. Bernard.
She thinks Ellie is the funniest person on the planet. Zelda smiles a ton, but doesn't laugh often. The most often time she laughs is when she's watching Ellie, and Ellie is doing something energetic like running around in circles, hopping up and down, or twirling. She'll watch her and just giggle and giggle.
Zelda is just such a sweet baby and we love her so much.
