Summer Recap: Our Garden

We planted a garden this year. We planted green beans, onions, carrots, zucchini, butternut squash, basil, oregano, and mint. The herbs, green beans, and onions grew first, and the others grew so poorly at first that we kind of lost hope in them. But then they sprouted up and started growing like crazy (especially the squash), and now (in August) they've pretty much taken over and the green beans are all done and the onions have been harvested. Our herbs are doing really well, too, especially the basil. I need to take a more current picture of that plant because that thing is a bush. It's huge. If anyone wants fresh basil, we have some for you. And all of your extended family.

Here's what everything looked like back in May:

Our pretty, bushy green beans (which we'll be planting farther apart in the future.
Our herb garden: the basil's on the left, oregano in the middle, and mint on the right.

  1. Okay, I'm totally jealous, your garden looks awesome! Our tomatoes are doing great, but everything else is pretty dead. :)

We love comments! Thanks for taking your time to share your thoughts.
