So, we're going to do a quick recap post.
On Saturday November 3rd, we (the whole Thomas clan) took a trip to Irvine Park. It's an awesome place - it's got tons and tons of beautiful green grassy park with lots of trees, a big lake with paddle boats you can rent, a railroad, pony rides, rentable bike-peddle car things, and a tiny little zoo. We had a picnic and then went to the zoo.
And then the zoo:
This cougar was trying to rip through the fence to get at this little boy. No kidding. There was no way he was getting through, so there was no danger, but it was crazy to watch.
Petting zoo! Ellie thought the goats were interesting, but she was hesitant to touch them. She didn't really want to pet their fur, just grab their ears, but we couldn't let her do that.

A really happy Nana!
So that was our Thomas family picnic!
In other news, our super good friend Tyler Abbott got back from his mission this week. He served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Torreon, Mexico. You can see the emails he wrote to his family while on his mission on his mission blog, here.
Tyler and Tyler, together again at last.
He's giving a talk about his mission in our church meeting this coming Sunday, November 18, and you're definitely welcome to come if you'd like. We'd love to see you there!
